Ken has been managing institutional client portfolios since 1989. Before spending 15 years as the Chief Investment Officer at Herndon Capital Management, Ken spent more than eight years at Morgan Stanley Asset Management (MSAM). In his first four years there he managed a domestic intermediate fixed-income portfolio. For the last four years at Morgan Stanley he was the co-manager of an international equity portfolio. In addition, he served on Morgan Stanley's Asset Allocation Committee which determined MSAM's investment policies and positions in the various asset classes. Prior to that, Ken spent almost three years in West Africa working at the African Development Bank (ADB) in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire as the Senior Finance Officer where he developed and implemented the investment philosophy and trading strategies for the Bank's portfolios in U.S. dollars, Canadian dollars, French francs, Deutsche marks and Japanese yen. Before the ADB, he managed portfolios at Ward & Associates Asset Management, an asset management firm serving public and private pension plans. Ken began his career in finance as a fixed-income salesman at Salomon Brothers in 1986. Ken’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. He also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1995.
ANUJA R. SINGHA, Ph.D., CFA

Anuja R. Singha was a Portfolio Manager for International and Emerging Markets Investment Strategies at Herndon Capital Management. Prior to joining Herndon, Anuja spent more than 16 years at Invesco Ltd. where she started as an equity analyst for international equities. In this capacity, she also implemented portfolio risk management. In 2001, she was promoted to Portfolio Manager for international developed markets. Over the years, her responsibilities expanded to include Emerging Markets as well as International Small cap equities. Most recently Anuja held simultaneous roles as a Portfolio Manager for Emerging and Developed Markets as well as Head of Equity Valuation Model. She was a member of the Management Committee for Invesco Global Strategies. Anuja earned a Bachelor of Arts from Mills College and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics from Emory University. Anuja has been published in the Journal of Financial Economics, and International Review of Law and Economics; she has also reviewed for International Review of Economics and Finance. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals.
JASON KINDLAND, CFA
Jason Kindland was an Associate Portfolio Manager responsible for International Investment Strategies Herndon Capital Management. Jason worked at Invesco as a Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst on the Global Equity team focusing on Emerging Markets. Prior to that role he was a Senior Quantitative Analyst responsible for the Global Equity team’s investment model as well as risk and performance analytics. Jason began his career at Invesco in the Strategy & Corporate Development group performing acquisition analysis and strategic business planning. He graduated summa cum laude and earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Goizueta Business School, Emory University. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals.
Shantell worked as a trader at Herndon for four years. At Haven Shantell is in charge of trading and the operations interface with our vendor. Shantell began her career in the financial industry in 1998 with SunTrust Bank, in branch services. In 2001, she joined MTC/Atlanta Job Corps Center in their accounting department. In 2004, Shantell joined Silverton Bank, in their Capital Markets division as a Bond Portfolio Analyst. While with Silverton, she also worked with the Trading and Safekeeping departments. In 2009, Shantell joined Nissens North America as an Office Manager and Full-charge Bookkeeper with in their International Sales division before moving on to Reliance Trust in 2011 as an Accounting and Reporting Analyst responsible for reconciling defined benefit pension and trust plans and preparing monthly statements.
Shantell received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Saint Leo University. Shantell is pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Financial Analytics at the Keller Graduate School of Management.
